About Chaundra L. Knight

I'm here to provide a safe space for your transformation.

I am a AuADHD Ohio based therapist and coach who provides in-person and online therapy!

I’ve spent the last 20+ years helping individuals move beyond labels, stigma and pathologizing narratives to better understand themselves and their unique experiences. Through a true neuroaffirming and trauma-informed lens I support adults in unmasking, healing, and embracing who they truly are.

Oki (oh-gee) and welcome!

I identify as Indigenous, Blackfoot with Siksika nation heritage. My cultural roots, lived experiences, and personal journey deeply influence they way I show up in the therapeutic space, with authenticity, compassion, respect and a belief in the inherent strengths each person carries. I understand that healing is not only about addressing challenges, but also about understanding who we are, where we come from, and the communities that have shaped us. Our stories are woven through family, culture, relationships, and lived experience, and a sense of connection and belonging can be and important par of healing.

With a military, warrior, background of my own, I bring a firsthand understanding of military culture service-related, stress, trauma, and the unique challenges faced by services members, veterans, and their families. My professional journey has been shaped by both personal and lived experience, allowing me to connect with clients from a place of empathy, cultural humility and genuine understanding.

My own experiences as a neurodivergent individual, including Autism, ADHD and other neurodivergent traits, inspired me to pursue advanced training in neuropsychotherapy and brain-based approaches to healing. Bradley University’s neuroscience-informed counseling program provided the foundation for the work I do today, integrating neuroaffirming, trauma informed and evidence based approaches that honor the whole person rather than viewing differences through a deficit, based lens.

WHO I WORK WITH

I work with adults 18+ Whether you grew up saving your game on an Oregon Trail floppy disk or building worlds in Fortnite or Mindcraft. Many of the people I work with are navigating complex trauma, Autism, ADHD, OCD, dissociation, anxiety, burnout or the lifelong experience of feeling different in a world that wasn’t designed with them in mind.

If you’ve ever felt like everyone else received an instruction manual for life that somehow got lost in your mail, your not alone. As a neurodivergent therapist myself, I understand what it can feel like to move through the world wondering why things seem harder, different, or more exhausting than they appear for everyone else. I also know the relief that comes from finally being understood, not as a collection of symptoms to fix, but as a whole person with strengths, challenges, and a unique story.

WHAT IS THERAPY WITH ME LIKE?

Therapy with me is a collaborative, conversational, and tailored to YOU. I don’t believe in forcing people into boxes or applying a one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I draw from neuropsychotherapy, EMDR-informed therapy, somatic approaches, polyvagal theory, IFS, parts work and neuroaffirming practices to help you better understand yourself, regulate your nervous system, process difficult experiences, and reconnect with your authentic self.

As a Certified Neuropsychotherpist and clinician trained in adult Autism and ADHD assessment and testing, I am especially passionate about supporting who have spend years masking, adapting, people-pleasing, or wondering why they never quite fit the mold. Together, we’ll work to move beyond pathologizing narratives and toward self-understanding, healing and self-acceptance.

In this space, your differences aren’t just accepted, they are welcomed. You don’t need to shrink yourself, explain every quirk(even though you will in the beginning, and that’s ok), or pretend to be someone you’re not. You get to show up exactly as you are.

And if you have read this far (awesome that is amazing) and are wondering if therapy with me is the right fit, let’s talk. Schedule a consultation, bring your questions, your skepticism, your favorite fidget, furry friend or your awkwardness, I can work with all of it.

See you soon. :-)
